THE Semenyih township in Hulu Langat, Selangor has a new neighbourhood mall.

Setia EcoHill Mall’s recent launch was attended by Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) president Najmuddin Jemain.

“We are thrilled to have Setia EcoHill Mall opening its doors with a tenancy of 60%.

“We are expecting 3% to 4% of our rental income to come from Setia EcoHill Mall,” said S P Setia president and chief executive officer Datuk Choong Kai Wai.

Completed in December last year, the 280,000sq ft Setia EcoHill Mall has approximately 160,000sq ft of net lettable area within its three-and-a-half floors of retail space.

Its facade, synonymous with the architecture of Setia EcoHill Walk’s shop offices, is inspired by the grandeur of the Grand Canyon in the United States.

The mall is expecting to serve a projected population of 600,000 residents within a 20-minute driving distance, including residents of S P Setia’s townships Setia EcoHill and Setia EcoHill 2 in Semenyih, as well as people from surrounding neighbourhoods in Kajang and Beranang.

Lulu Supermarket and Department Store, a supermarket by renowned Middle East retail chain Lulu Group International, has also officially opened as the anchor tenant.

Setia EcoHill Mall is accessible via the Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway (Silk highway), Kajang-Seremban Highway (Lekas), North-South Highway (PLUS) and North-South Expressway Central Link (Elite).

For the convenience of its shoppers, 2,000 underground parking bays are shared with the commercial hub of Setia EcoHill Walk.
