Water supply resumes after Langat 2 WTP begins operations

THE water supply for users in 397 areas affected following the temporary closure of the Langat 2 Water Treatment Plant (WTP) has started. The water treatment plant began operations at 7.30pm Thursday (Aug 11).

It is expected that the water supply will be fully restored by 8pm on Friday (Aug 12).

The temporary closure of the water treatment plant was due to oil spillage at Sungai Semantan, Karak, Pahang caused by an accident at KM75.9 of the Karak-Bentong Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (Aug 11).

It had affected users at three regions, namely Petaling (three areas), Kuala Lumpur (172) and Hulu Langat (222).

Consumers can also obtain the list of affected areas from https://hentitugas.airselangor.com/ as well as through the Air Selangor application.

For details, consumers can also refer to all official channels such as the Air Selangor mobile application, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or contact Air Selangor's call centre at 15300.
