Inaugural KL wellness festival off to healthy start in Bukit Jalil

KL Wellness City in Bukit Jalil held its inaugural Kuala Lumpur Wellness Festival which delivered 10 days of fun activities to promote a better quality of life.

Wellness, health and sports professionals held talks, exercise classes and workshops with the aim of educating participants on the five pillars of wellness: good nutrition, better sleep, mindfulness, movement and sense of purpose.

The corporate social responsibility event had free admission.

There were talks on women’s fertility, mental and emotional wellness, eating your way to fat loss, gut health, mindfulness and self-compassion.

The public also enjoyed workshops on “Free Quick Adjustment & Bone Setting”, “CPR & AED”, “Developing the Sportsman and Sportswoman in Your Kid”, “Sip and Paint”, “Chocolate Therapy” and “Wine Tasting”.

Also in the festival line-up were exercise activities including spinning, Zumba, detox yoga, barre fitness cardio yoga, yoga for athletes, mat pilates, line dancing and jumping for fitness.

There was also a special multi-development physical programme designed for children aged three to six.

KL Wellness City executive branding, sales and marketing director Datuk Seri Dr Vincent Tiew said they hoped to make the festival an annual affair.
