KL Wellness City advocates work life balance and healthy lifestyle


AS a leading destination in healthcare and wellness hub, KL Wellness City will be planning a series of wellness and healthcare activities in the township.

One of the first initiative will be its commitment to bringing yoga into the lifestyle of their staff and public of the Bukit Jalil community.

If you are a yoga fan, this opportunity is not to be missed. Classes are on alternate Mondays and Tuesdays from 8pm – 9pm, free of charge at their Sales Gallery which is located just across Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

KL Wellness City initiates and practises the wellness lifestyle from within the organisation, encouraging all staff to take part in this weekly activity. This initiative will proof valuable to those who wish to strike a work life balance.

KL Wellness City kickstarted their first preview class on May 9 with 16 participants comprising of staff and residents around the Bukit Jalil vicinity.

For all yoga enthusiasts, future classes will continue on May 30 and June 7.

The purpose of yoga is to build strength, awareness and harmony in both the mind and body.

Yoga is all about calmness and peace. Begin a journey of healing and open yourself up to opportunities to revive your soul.

The yoga sessions were officially kicked off on May 17, led by Datuk Seri Dr Vincent Tiew, branding, sales and marketing executive director, KL Wellness City Sdn Bhd.

“In line with our vision of building a healthy community, we started our very first class of yoga with our internal staff and public who are into yoga, joined ustoo. This initiative was a success working alongside New York Yoga Wellness which is one of the experts in yoga” said Tiew.

To commemorate the start of the class, KL Wellness City is exploring in an adventurous yoga trend called the Juice Yoga, which may be a new term for many. This is an interesting angle as you balance your juice glass, it symbolises on work life balance which KL Wellness City emphasise on. The weekly class is limited to 40 seats per session.

Yoga offers mental and physical benefits for people of all ages. Yoga is also a vital part of your treatment and is potential in speeding the healing process if you are going through illnesses or recovering from surgery. Yoga provides you time to reflect and heal while you give yourself the gift of self-care. Yoga is universal and it’s not only for women. Bring your partner along for these sessions and enjoy the bonding experience with your partner.

Datuk Dr Colin Lee, managing director of KL Wellness City is in all support with this initiative by his team members and being an advocate in healthcare and wellness, he inspires many when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle.
