Registrar of Societies Kuala Lumpur (ROS WPKL) is embarking on its #ROS_CARE programme to help the needy in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

Its partnership with Alliance for Safe Community led to an initiative to lessen the burden of poor students.SMK Bandar Rinching in Semenyih, Selangor, was identified to receive items sponsored by various organisations and channelled to ROS WPKL.

The school then chose 50 deserving students from B40 families to receive the donations of school uniforms and shopping vouchers.

At the handover event held at Taman Pelangi Multi-Purpose Hall in Semenyih, Alliance for Safe Community chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye also distributed duit raya of RM100 to each student on behalf of the organisation.

The donation came from part of the proceeds raised from the golf challenge that was held in January.

Lee said the NGO would continue working with ROS to reach out to vulnerable communities.
