Premium experience arrives at Jalan Ampang

Customers at Mercato Great Eastern Mall can choose from a wide variety of baked goods.

GCH Retail (M) Sdn Bhd has opened its fifth Mercato store at Great Eastern Mall in Kuala Lumpur to serve the Jalan Ampang community and foreign embassies nearby.

Spanning 1,858sq m of floor space on the mall’s lower ground floor, the new store offers an even wider range of unique and globally-sourced fresh products and quality items.

During its opening, a lion dance performance was held to usher in good fortune.

Store operations director for Malaysia and Singapore Mark Scates said he was confident that Mercato’s presence would be a welcome addition to the vicinity.

“We listened closely to our customers’ needs for more imported curated products as well as a premium experience, so we stepped up by opening Mercato Great Eastern Mall.

“Based on feedback, we also widened our check-out aisles and installed brighter lights,” he said.

The store boasts an exceptional range of delicatessen too.

In addition to selections of daily necessities, other grocery items and baked goods, it features an extensive range of organic produce, fresh flowers as well as food and beverages that accommodate varied lifestyles.

Customers can indulge in the range of fresh baked goods including Hawaiian pizza, Akarumi Asian Roast, fresh juices and ice cream.

They can also look forward to roasted products from the nut-roasting machine and the new health drink, Kombocha-Keju.

With Malayisans becoming more health-conscious, Mercato is collaborating with the Rawsome healthy food chain on a do-it-yourself salad bar for freshness and healthier options.

Shoppers can also expect to find GCH Retail’s award-winning in-house brand Meadows, which offers a wide range of fresh produce and household essentials.

“We are truly grateful to our customers.

“None of our achievements would have been possible without their unwavering support,” added Scates.

To celebrate the opening of Mercato Great Eastern Mall, customers can enjoy exclusive in-store promotions.

The first 1,000 customers will receive an exclusive Mercato reusable jute bag with a minimum purchase of RM100 in a single receipt.

Meanwhile, customers can expect the next Mercato store to open later this month at Sunway Putra Mall in Kuala Lumpur.
