HEARTWARMING traditional dishes will delight all at Flamingo Hotel by the Beach, Penang.
Executive chef Lim Ewe Lee and his team have curated delicious crowd pleasers for the hotel’s affordably priced Chinese New Year buffets.
“Around 95% of the lineup will be familiar Chinese flavours.
“We’ve also revised our pricing to allow everyone to eat out, ” the experienced chef said.
Adults pay only RM88 for the Reunion Buffet Dinner on Jan 24 and Chinese New Year Day 1 Buffet Dinner on Jan 25. Kids aged five to 11 are charged RM48.
Appetisers include Crispy Sesame Szechuan Chicken, Marinated Half-Shell Mussels, Jellyfish with Coriander, kerabu, Chinese cold cuts and deep-fried items.
The reunion dinner will also include Diced Chicken with Fish Maw and Black Moss Soup, Herbal Koay Teow Soup and Duck with Bean Sauce.
Diners can also choose Kapitan Flower Crab, Fresh Prawns with Coconut and Lemon Grass, Fried Kam Heong Mussels, and Steamed Eggs with Scallop and Minced Chicken.
For the Day 1 dinner, look forward to Herbal Chicken with Red Dates and Ginseng Soup, Mee Jawa, Braised Duck with Superior Soya Sauce, Stir-Fried Curry Prawns, Curry Kapitan Lamb Ribs, and Steamed Snapper with Lemon Grass among others.
Both nights feature a festive Salmon Yee Sang counter where guests can help themselves to as much of the delicacy they desire, Lok-Lok and various pastries, cakes, cookies and sweets.
There are also Buffet Lunches on both Day 1 and Day 2 of Chinese New Year priced at RM68 for adults and RM33 for children. They also feature Salmon Yee Sang.
Appetisers comprise rojak, pasembur, kerabu and salads while soups include Braised Duck with Salted Vegetables or Double Boiled Black Bean Chicken.
Hot item highlights are Crispy Fried Fish with Three Varieties Sauce, Braised Beef Ribs in Chinese BBQ Sauce, Mango Fried Rice, Nyonya Inchi Kabin, Crispy Garlic King Prawns, Hakka Nam Yee Chicken and Kong Poh Beef Ribs.
Desserts complete the lineups. Those having lunch on Day 1 will also be entertained by a lion dance at 12.30pm. Meanwhile, the God of Prosperity is set to make appearances during all buffets.
