PETALING JAYA: There are two set-ups for homes for the elderly in the country - nursing homes and elder care centres.
Nursing homes should only refer to establishments registered under the Private Healthcare Facilities And Services Act 1998 (Act 586), which are under the Health Ministry’s jurisdiction.
