FOR many women, weak pelvic floor muscles is a common problem, especially post pregnancy and childbirth.
Bioinfinity (M) Sdn Bhd provides products and services to help women with pelvic floor issues, which can lead to urinary tract problems, sexual dysfunction and back pain.
The company is sponsoring RM10,000 cash for the Star WOW Fiesta 2019, a two-day event celebrating women in conjunction with International Women’s Day.
There will be lots of exciting activities, talks, workshops, bazaars and entertainment held on that day.
Bioinfinity will also be giving a 30-minute talk entitled “The Unspoken Truth About Urine Leakage” at the event.
Speakers will share ways on how to take care of the pelvic floor, as well as the symptoms and causes of pelvic floor dysfunction.
A short exercise session will also be carried out with the audience to help women learn how to cope with bladder problems.
“We prioritise in helping people who have pelvic floor problems,” said Bioinfinity co-founder Teoh Huiyi.
She added that pelvic floor problems were common but not fully understood, and women should be more proactive in broaching the subject.
“When you know how to improve your pelvic health, you will have a better quality of life.”
The company’s treatment centres are available to help women restore pelvic health, where specialised physiotherapists can guide them.
Treatments include Full Pelvic Assessment (FPA) and Pelvic Activation Therapy (PAT).
The FPA is a thorough scan to help women diagnose their pelvic health condition, while PAT is a one-on-one, hour-long treatment of the pelvic floor, whereby the patient will be assessed by specialists. The Abs, Back and Thighs (ABT) therapy can be conducted either in a group setting or one-on-one session, in which clients will be taught functional exercises and the proper positions to engage their pelvic floor. These three packages can be purchased separately, and they are also available in the signature package Pelvic 360 (P360), a comprehensive package that offers patients unlimited sessions.
