Civil engineer’s book sheds light on how to live worry-free life

SUSHEEL Kamotra, 55, from Jammu and Kashmir, has contrasting sides to his life in Malaysia where he and his family have been living for 22 years.

He has 30 years of experience and still works as a civil engineer and construction manager but his passion is philosophy.

This passion drove him to publish a book titled Universal Face Theory, which is about attaining happiness and living a worry-free life.

“This happiness theory is about better understanding oneself through self-realisation. It propagates how one can stay content and free from stressful and corrupt practices, violence and hatred.

“It is easy to be happy and it has to come from within through self-realisation and a passionate workflow,” said Susheel.

“Human beings, in project management terms, are unaware of who we are and our purpose in life until we acquire knowledge through our parents, teachers and society.

“All these people, society and the country we live in shape our future and we have to adjust to the changing environment every moment in our life,” Susheel said.

He added that many people referred to life as a game.

“Thus, in our life, it does not matter whether we lose or win, as long as we are on a righteous, ethical path,” he said.

When asked about his purpose of writing the book, Susheel said it was to establish the theory of happiness.

“It is also to create a complete understanding of our existence, more importantly, to our younger generation to enhance their happiness in life.

“This will make us live in a state of self-exuberance,” said Susheel who undertook nine years of research work on ancient documented religious scriptures, philosophies, development in science and management.

He said living in the present and enhancing productivity would contribute to the making of a great nation.

“If the people are happy, the nation’s ‘Happiness Index’ will be high.

“Finding the meaning and purpose of life is something that renders fulfilment and peace to any individual.

“If parents ingrain this concept in their children’s early years of life, it can go a long way to creating a meaningful life and a happy nation,” he explained.

It also encapsulates the importance of the bond between parents and children.

“Developing children into ‘self-realised human beings’ at a young age is not an easy task. This is where Universal Face Theory comes into the picture,” he said.
