PAKATAN Harapan’s campaign in Melaka got off to a slightly slow start in the first two days, but response in several key seats remains good, says Pakatan Harapan election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said campaign activities were continuing, with many also taking place on social media rather than through physical gatherings.
"There was a slight slowdown in the first two days.
"God willing, we will step it up because many campaign activities are actually taking place on social media compared with physical meetings,” he said.
Amirudin said the response in several key seats remained good, which he attributed to groundwork carried out by candidates and the party over the past four to five years.
“So this is not just about the campaign period, but how we have served or provided support to the people over the past four to five years,” he said.
Amirudin said he had initially planned to join the campaign earlier but had several discussions involving matters concerning the public to attend to.
“God willing, tomorrow or the following day I will go down during this period to coordinate Pakatan’s campaign for the election,” he said.
Polling for the Melaka state election will take place on Nov 14.
