In an effort to boost domestic tourism, Tourism Malaysia and GoPro have organised a social media contest for local travellers to submit their amazing travelling moments.
The ‘Dream Malaysia Challenge’ requires participants to create and post a video highlighting the various breathtaking attractions within Malaysia that they have previously visited.
"It is a way to remind Malaysians that they never have to travel too far to find exciting destinations and this challenge does exactly that," Tourism Malaysia said in a statement.
GoPro marketing manager (South-east Asia) Sangeet Singh said the company wants to highlight "Malaysia’s culturally rich and stunning destinations while supporting local businesses".
Participants are allowed to submit videos that are captured from any device. The videos, however, need to be edited on the GoPro app.
Participants will get the chance to be rewarded with the latest GoPro HERO9 Black, GoPro MAX, GoPro HERO8 and stays at Taman Negara, Gopeng Glamping Park and Tadom Hill to experience Malaysia’s beauty and wonders.
The ‘Dream Malaysia Challenge’ will take place from March 13 to 28.
