Iceland cautiously opens for tourists, with tests for all

The Fjadrargljufur canyon, with its view of the river and big rocks is an iconic sight in Iceland.

Home to volcanoes, glaciers and the steaming waters of the Blue Lagoon, Iceland reopened its borders recently in a move welcomed by the battered tourism sector, but Covid-19 tests are required for all travellers.

Tourism, which has been at a standstill during the pandemic, is one of the main drivers of Iceland’s economy.
