A total of 1,500 dancers and cultural arts practitioners from various regions and communities nationwide are set to enliven the Colours of Parade cultural event, held in conjunction with the Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026.
The festival is will be held from Sept 24 to Oct 4.
Tourism Malaysia said the parade will feature traditional music, dances, colourful fashion displays and various cultural performances, thus showcasing the richness and diversity of Malaysia’s cultural heritage to visitors.
It added that the festival will also combine the uniqueness of Malaysia's cultures with the excitement of motorsports through two key events: Colours of Speed and Colours of Art & Culture.
"This festival will highlight cultural exhibitions, motorsport-inspired attractions and interactive experiences for the public as part of the Visit Malaysia 2026-2027 (VM2026-2027) campaign.
"The event will be held at several selected locations, including IOI City Mall Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 and Sama-Sama Hotel,” the agency said in a statement.
Under Colours of Speed, visitors can explore various exhibitions inspired by the world of motorsports and interactive experiences, including exhibitions featuring racing memorabilia and autographed items, as well as iconic supercars.
Tourism Malaysia said a racing simulation competition at IOI City Mall Putrajaya is also set to be one of the main attractions, giving the public the opportunity to test their driving skills by taking part in a driving contest which offers attractive prizes.
The festival will showcase Malaysia's cultural diversity under the Colours of Art & Culture programme, featuring a range of cultural performances, music and dance, alongside handicraft exhibitions and interactive activities that reflect the unique traditions and communities from across the country.
Tourism Malaysia hopes to use motorsports as a platform to attract more visitors, especially from the international market, while introducing Malaysia's unique and rich cultural experiences.
"This effort aligns with the country's positive performance in the tourism sector, with Malaysia recording 21.1 million international tourist arrivals from January to June 2026, a 2.5% increase on the 20.6 million arrivals for the corresponding period in 2025,” it added.
Tourism Malaysia said the festival is also expected to invigorate tourism activities and create more economic opportunities for the local community, while cultivating appreciation for Malaysia's heritage and culture.
