Vaccines 99.99% effective in preventing breakthrough Covid-19

Breakthrough infections of Covid-19 despite full vaccination were more likely to be caused by variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. — AFP

Only about 0.01% of people became infected with Covid-19 between January and April (2021) despite being fully vaccinated, a US government study confirming the shots’ high efficacy showed on May 26 (2021).

The report published by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) documented so-called “breakthrough” cases among 101 million people fully vaccinated in the United States.
