A large number of children in the US are eating too much salt. This greatly increases the risk of high blood pressure and heart disease as they grow older, experts say.
More than 40% of the sodium children consume comes from what are typically their favourite food, including pizza, sandwich meats, cheese, chicken nuggets and pasta dishes, says the report by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
