Hong Kong actress Irene Wan and her husband, businessman Kenneth Ho, are currently enjoying a relaxing getaway.

After spending some time in Bali, Indonesia, last week, the couple has now made their way to Madrid, Spain.

According to Ming Pao Daily, Wan, 59, recently reflected on her 26-year marriage to Ho, saying that sincerity, care and trust are key foundations of a strong and enduring relationship.

"We talk about everything and keep no secrets from each other.

"He's my husband and also my confidant. I trust him 100%, and he trusts me too," she said.

Beyond those core values, Wan also believes that blending into each other's social circles plays an important role in maintaining a strong marriage.

The former TVB actress revealed that she and her husband share mutual friends, which allows them to stay closely connected beyond their private relationship.

Wan said no matter how busy life gets, couples should never neglect their time alone together.

The 72 Heroes star added that this is why she and her husband make it a point to travel together whenever their schedules allow.

Even when they are not abroad, simple activities such as hiking in Hong Kong or walking along the beach is enough to help them maintain a steady bond.

Wan and Ho, who tied the knot in 2000, are parents to a son Xavier.

They adopted him in 2010 after he was found abandoned at a train station in mainland China.
