Chinese singer-actress Jin Qiaoqiao recently opened up about her past decision to get facial fillers, admitting that she deeply regrets it.

In an interview with Chinese media, the 50-year-old revealed that while playing Princess Kongque in the 1999 series Journey To The West, she felt her face was too thin and opted for fillers to look better on camera.

The actress, who was in her 20s back then, said it was a very naive decision as she faced public criticism for her cheeks as they looked “overly swollen from injections”.

“All I wanted was to look good, so I foolishly injected two lumps of filler. I didn’t go to a proper clinic and later had to see several professionals to have them dissolved,” she lamented.

Jin added it took a lot of time and effort for her face to return to its natural state.

Learning from her past experience, she urged everyone to never randomly alter their face, adding: “The natural look is always the best.”

Indeed, Jin has earned praise from netizens for retaining much of her features.

Despite that, the actress said she maintains a positive attitude towards aging and doesn’t see it as a bad thing at all.

“Even though I’m (in my 50s), I still feel 25 inside,” she said.

Many netizens have since applauded Jin for her wise words, while others couldn’t help but admire her striking appearance.

“Indeed, the natural look is the best,” one person commented.

Another added: “Everyone else wants to slim down their face, but it’s the opposite for her. I’m envious of her beauty.”
