Hong Kong actor Gabriel Wong Yat Shan is officially stepping away from the limelight to enjoy a more relaxed life.
In a recent video shared on social media, the 62-year-old, who has two sons, said he had reached a point where he no longer felt physically fit enough to continue both acting and doing business.
"I don't want to act anymore because I no longer have the stamina for it, and I don't want to do business because it's simply too tiring," he said.
While Wong has no plans to return to the film industry, he will continue taking part in charity and commercial activities.
"I also want to spend more time with my family and travel more with my wife. Life is short, why not enjoy it to the fullest?" he added.
Wong joined the entertainment industry as a scriptwriter in the late 1980s, before subsequently transitioning to acting in 1990.
He made his breakthrough with his performance in the 1990 TVB television programme The Funny Half Show and has starred in films such as Fight Back To School (1991), Fist From Shaolin (1993) and Hail The Judge (1994), among others.
In the early 2000s, Wong shifted his focus to mainland China, where he later established a business career.
It's reported that he now runs several successful pedicure shops in Shenzhen, Panyu and Dongguan.
