Award-winning Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh recently opened up about her reflections on life following the passing of her father-figure, actor Benz Hui.

Hui died on Oct 28 at the age of 76, following multiple organ failure caused by cancer.

In an interview with Hong Kong media, Sheh, 50, said she wished she could return to her early 30s, when her life was filled with joyful memories.

"At another stage of life, you have to face so many goodbyes and losses," she added.

The Queen Of News star shared that while she's still navigating the grief of Hui's death, she has gradually come to accept that ageing, illness and death are inevitable.

"Life must go on. Since life is so short, we should focus on doing things that benefit others and bring us personal satisfaction," she said.

Sheh also revealed that she has already prepared a will.

"I've worked hard for my money, and if something happens to me, I don't want my life's savings to go to waste. I hope they can be distributed according to my wishes," she said.

Sheh shared that over the past two years, she has deliberately scaled back her workload to spend more time with her family.

Although she remains unmarried and without children, the actress made it clear that she has no regrets.

"I've long moved on from the desire to have children. Seeing friends with kids, they are happy.

“But the time, mental, and physical effort required to care for a child is enormous – way bigger than filming. I don't think I'm the type to enjoy taking on that kind of pressure," she admitted.
