Chinese actress Tang Wei recently visited Malaysia with her eight-year-old daughter Summer.

Last week, Tang, 45, shared a photo of a tree on Instagram and tagged Kalimantan Lookout Point in Kuching, Sarawak.

The Lust, Caution (2007) star posted another snapshot a few days later, this time of herself exploring a rainforest with her daughter.

Although she didn't reveal any details in the caption, she mentioned in the comment section that she's holidaying with Summer in Indonesia and Malaysia.

On Monday (Jan 20), Tang took to Instagram to express her awe at Sarawak's rich and diverse flora and fauna.

"I've always said humans are similar to animals, but this time in Borneo, especially in front of this tree, I felt like I instantly became a citizen of a miniature world," she captioned her post.

The Decision To Leave (2022) star shared that her trip to the rainforest gave her a deeper understanding of its wonders. The actress said she felt a sense of peace while hiking through the lush greenery.

"Stepping into nature naturally brings peace to the heart. It feels like coming home. Pure nature, without the concrete and steel. Our body, created by nature, longs for it," she said.

Tang, the first and only non-Korean to win Best Actress at the Baeksang Art Awards, has been married to South Korean director Kim Tae-yong since 2014.

The couple has one daughter together.
