Emilia Clarke reveals she got "as drunk as humanly possible" thanks to Jason Momoa

Jason Momoa knows how to have a good time, according to Emilia Clarke.

The Game Of Thrones actress, who played Khaleesi on the HBO series, reflected on reuniting with her co-star last month at a birthday celebration in a People interview.

"Oh God, it was beautiful," Clarke said of the event, adding that Momoa was the life of the party. "When Jay's in town, you know it's going down."

"He walks into the room and you're just like, 'My man. It's almost like a test, every time he sees (me) he's like, 'Can I still throw you around the room? Yeah I can.'"

Clarke added that she and many others ended up getting "as drunk as humanly possible" at the event thanks to the Aquaman star.

"I mean, I've never tried so many different whiskeys in my entire life," she said. "There were a couple that were really nice, and there were a couple that were paint stripper, and I literally was like, 'Yeah I'm gonna down you, get hair on your chest.' It was funny."

In August, the pair took to Instagram to show off their sweet reunion, with photos capturing them in each other's arms and lots of heart emojis. In one pic, Momoa is literally sweeping Clarke off her feet.

"When your sun and stars rolls into town you check that he can still bench press a Khaleesi," she captioned it at the time.

Momoa commented on the post, "love u forever moon of my life" including seven heart emojis.

The cast members have remained friends for years, despite only sharing a few episodes together before Momoa's character, Khal Drogo, was killed at the end of the first season.

Clarke also reflected on the two brain aneurysms she experienced during her time on Game Of Thrones – attributing the near-death experience to her appreciation for inner beauty.

In 2019, she opened up for the first time about her fraught medical history in an essay for the New Yorker, explaining her first aneurysm came in 2011 after filming wrapped on Season 1 of the popular HBO series and her second one after finishing Season 3 in 2013.

"The happy moments and being happy is what you're going to see on your death bed. You're not going to remember the times when you took that super cute selfie," Clarke said in the People interview.

Clarke added that she felt "so scared and under-confident" while undergoing brain surgery, but later realised "that people are at their most beautiful when they're not thinking about themselves and considering their own beauty."

"If someone would tell me that they think that I needed something in order to be acceptable to the ridiculous beauty standards that society has set, I'm going to tell them to let themselves out," she continued.

"I'm not confident in how I look, but I am competent in telling someone who has an opinion on how I look that I'm not interested in hearing it." – USA Today/Tribune News Service
