Remy Ishak is a married man.
The 39-year-old actor and businesswoman Ezza Yusof, 38, tied the knot at Masjid Negara Kuala Lumpur today (Aug 21).
Other than the couple, the ceremony had only one other attendee, which was Ezza’s older brother Rozman Yusof, who was present as the bride’s male guardian (Wali).
In a press statement, Remy said he was elated that the ceremony went without a hitch.
He shared: “And so, our journey begins as husband and wife. Do wish us only the best and happiness.”
Remy and Ezza started their relationship in 2013.
Previously, Remy said that they had planned to get married last year but due to the pandemic they postponed it.
After several more wedding dates were postponed early this year as well, Remy and Ezza decided to go ahead with Aug 21 date while adhering to the SOP set by National Security Council (MKN) and Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (Jawi).
In a virtual press conference on Aug 20, Remy said this about his wife: “Ezza is always there for me. She’s someone I could turn to, I could talk to and share things with. So, I concluded, she's the one.
