To ensure that students are keeping up with their studies during the movement control order (MCO), Astro will be introducing a new show titled, Kuiz Pantas TTV, on Astro Tutor TV (Ch 601 to 603). This 15-minute per episode show will run from April 11 is divided into three segments: learning, practice and quiz.
The show will take an interactive approach, allowing viewers to upload their solutions to the quiz segment via social media with the hashtag #KuizPantasTTV. Within two hours, they will be able to review answers – provided by a professional teacher – on Astro Tutor TV.
Astro’s Vice President of Content Strategy, International Business and GenNext, Putri Yasmin Megat Zaharuddin, said: “Students’ attention span at home is different from when they are at school. Hence, 15 minutes (per episode) is sufficient for a quick and compact learning session.
“Astro believes that Kuiz Pantas TTV can further enhance students’ performance and help them score well in their exams."
Throughout the MCO, Astro Tutor TV is available for free via the Astro Go app.
In addition to Kuiz Pantas, Astro has also launched Coding di Rumah, an initiative aimed at teaching children the basics of coding. From now until the end of April, viewers have the opportunity to learn how to code through tutorials and examples available via a dedicated coding website, dekoded.astroceria.com.my/.
Viewers can then participate in a series of challenges to create their own 2D game. Each participant who completes all the challenges while showcasing their creativity will receive a gift from Astro.
“Coding can be seen as a stepping stone for a wide array of opportunities, as demand for jobs related to coding and digital education remains strong and will surely increase in the future, ” Putri Yasmin added.
