HOMEGROWN ice cream brand Inside Scoop returns with its second Lokal Legends collection co-created with some of Malaysia’s beloved homegrown names.
“Gardenia’s Twiggies Choc-A-Lot” is a heartfelt tribute to a childhood snack, with luscious milk chocolate ice cream generously layered with bite-sized pieces of the baked good.
“GSC’s Caramel Popcorn” ice cream with swirls of salted caramel and buttered pecans is inspired by the aroma of fresh popcorn wafting through the halls of Golden Screen Cinemas.
Bright and zesty “Julie’s Le-mond Lemon” has the tang of the lemon biscuit and a ripple of citrusy curd.
Meanwhile, “Beryl’s Gula Melaka Chocolate” has rich gula melaka flavoured chocolate ice cream layered with chocolate and buttery crumble.
Those looking for espresso-based milk ice cream can try “Zus Coffee’s Spanish Latte” infused with condensed milk and layered with crunchy chocolate-coated cones.
Now extra kaw with fudgy chocolate swirls and crunchy choco malt soil – more intense than last year’s flavour – “Farm Fresh Choco Malt Kaw” will take folk on a trip back to the good old days.
“This year’s Lokal Legends is a love letter to Malaysia,” said Inside Scoop co-founder Edmund Tan.
“We’re proud to collaborate with brands that Malaysians have grown up with and turn them into something uniquely ours.
“Every scoop is handcrafted in Malaysia, a celebration of the creativity and community that define us,” Tan added.
Each single-scoop Lokal Legends ice cream is served in a custom-designed cup sleeve featuring the collaborating brand’s colours and the “Lokal Legends” mark.
The flavours are also available individually or as a limited-edition Lokal Legends party pack (RM68).
The Lokal Legends 2025 collection is available at all Inside Scoop outlets until Sept 21.
