Oat-milk beverages in convenient sizes

SINGAPOREAN brand Oatbedient started out on the premise of crafting products that its founders would give their own families.

Launched in April last year, the brand offers a range of oat-based beverages that are free from fillers.

They come in two formats – powdered oat milk in individually packed sachets and ready-to-drink packs.

“We couldn’t find beverages on the shelves of supermarkets we would feed our children with.

“There’s always hydrogenated oil, too much sugar and other unnecessary fillers,” said Listen Up Pte Ltd co-founder Elaine Teo, whose company is behind Oatbedient.

“We thought of creating a brand that could fill that gap.”

Oatbedient products have at least 25% less sugar compared to regular plant-based milk or malted beverages found in the market.

Unlike typical instant beverages that rely on non-dairy creamers as a milk substitute, Oatbedient has opted for a plant-based oat milk powder as the foundation of its products.

The company’s founders said Oatbedient products were free of artificial colours, flavourings and preservatives.

They further said the products catered to a diverse group of consumers, including vegans, lactose-intolerant individuals and the Muslim community, and are made from responsibly sourced ingredients.

The Oatbedient Powdered Oat Milk range has three flavour options – oat milk, chocolate oat milk and oat milk with oats and chia seeds.

The powdered oat milk series is priced at RM28.80 for a box of 12 travel-friendly sachets.

The ready-to-drink Oat Milk Barista can be enjoyed straight from the pack or used to enhance beverages.

It comes in two sizes – a one-litre pack priced at RM15.90 and a set of six 250ml packs priced at RM30.

Oatbedient products can be purchased via its website, major ecommerce sites and grocery retailers.
