CHULIA Court The Tavern’s vibrant atmosphere and surroundings draw a good mix of crowds seeking to let their hair down in Penang.

With good drinks, good food and good music, good times are assured at this hotspot along Chulia Street in the heart of George Town.

Happy Hours all day and all night long on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday offer good deals on beverages, with prices starting at just RM15.

For Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, as well as Public Holidays and their eves, the Happy Hours run till 9pm, so stop by early for a round or two.

Promo items include beers by the pint or jug, shooters, house pour spirits and cocktails such as the Chulia Court Mojito, Ash on Fire and Cosmopolitan.

Feeling peckish? Try the pizzas with variants like Mushroom and Turkey Ham, Chicken and Pineapple Hawaii, Olive and Capers, Tuna and Oregano, or Shrimp and Calamari.

Chulia Court is also well-known for offering five different types of laksa under one roof, besides a good selection of Asian and Western dishes.

Dinnertime is relaxing, as a live band plays soft music from 8pm to 10pm nightly. The atmosphere heats up from 10pm onwards till late once a deejay takes over.

With upbeat party music spinning on the turntable, the space becomes one of the most happening spots in town. Crowds are a cosmopolitan mix of locals and tourists.

Park yourself at the bar, or explore Chulia Court’s unique spaces that bring together fanciful Peranakan, Chinoiserie and European elements.

From tapestries to portraits, period furniture and whimsical colours, it creates retro vibes whilst providing one with ample photo-taking opportunities.

Otherwise, make yourself comfortable at the alfresco tables outside and watch the bustling city go by. There is a spacious private car park for patrons, accessible from the rear via Carnarvon Street.

Chulia Court also serves breakfast and coffee from 8am onwards daily. The main kitchen operates from 11.30am onwards, starting with lunch.
