MENTION celebrity chef and renowned restaurateur Gordon Ramsay and one could expect no less than a gastronomic experience when dining at his establishment.

Even in a casual setting, classic pizzas can be made with a touch of gourmet ingredients, offering something out of the ordinary for Malaysians.

Introducing a fusion of delectable flavours and vibrant ambiance, Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza brings an exciting twist to the Malaysian pizza scene.

Located at Sunway Pyramid, Petaling Jaya in Selangor, the restaurant offers a variety of gourmet pizzas crafted from recipes by the celebrity chef.

“Our pizzas are made using imported ingredients such as different cheeses namely goat, provolone, scamorza, pecorino romano and burrata from Italy for most of the pizzas and pasta, while the cold cuts come from Germany.

“This is how we ensure the quality, so come and try and you will taste the difference,” said restaurant head chef Shadieq Romai Nor.

Famed for its bottomless options, the restaurant also offers a la carte alternatives of his famed pizzas in a wider selection.

There are eight a la carte options including the daily special pizza, while those who opt for bottomless servings can choose from the classic Margherita, Next Level, beef or chicken pepperoni as well as Prawn and Garlic.

Of all the a la carte options, Londoner emerges as a fresh addition to the menu, celebrating its heritage with a traditional tomato base complemented by a delectable medley of beef Nduja, imported salami and creamy burrata cheese.

This tantalising combination offers a fresh twist on tradition, delivering a flavourful experience that is both familiar and exciting.

Up the game by trying the Next Level pizza, a fresh and creative option.

It is topped with a dynamic combination of scamorza cheese, red onion, cajun spice-marinated chicken thigh, green pepper and streaky veal, on sourdough.

While the flavours of each ingredient may not stand out individually, every bite of this combination provides a next-level comforting satisfaction that will leave you craving for more.

Priced from RM49 each, a la carte pizzas come in a substantial 14-inch size crust, which is perfect for three to four people.

As for the pasta, the Chicken and Spinach Ricotta Cannelloni stood out as an example of Ramsay’s thoughtful approach to catering to elderly customers.

Its tender texture and delicate flavours of spinach and chicken, generously topped with melted ricotta cheese, strikes a balance in taste and is gentle on the stomach, thus enhancing its enjoyability.

The Beef Lasagna was another surprising hit, with its layered pasta and meaty topping bound together by melted cheese and rich, tantalising tomato sauce that adds acidity to the dish.

It’s definitely a dish meat lovers will not want to miss.

Diners can also try the restaurant’s New Wing offering that has five choices of different fried chicken wings.

Those who like a satisfying spicy kick can go for Street Hot Sauce wings, while those seeking a milder option can opt for G.F.C wings.

The latter is a mix of Cholula hot sauce and mayonnaise, which brings a creamy and tangy flavour with a slight spicy aftertaste and a touch of Mexican flair.

The Smoked Chicken Salad with mango, avocado, toasted pine nuts, mixed green and citrus vinaigrette is a refreshing blend of flavours.

For dessert, tiramisu is one of the crowd favourites.

The soft texture and moderate sweetness provides a melt-in-your-mouth experience.

However, stealing the spotlight was the tender and moist Sticky Toffee Pudding topped with vanilla ice cream and generous drizzle of toffee syrup.

Given the dark brown pudding, the delightful sweetness came from dates, which left us impressed.

We might revisit the outlet just for another scoop of this wholesome goodness.

Diners can enjoy bottomless pizza at RM59 for adults and RM30 for children aged six to 11. Children under six dine for free.
