Spice Market Cafe’s Citarasa Kampung buffet offers a generous spread of classic Malay favourites from April 4 to May 5.

ONE of the most joyous things about Ramadan is breaking fast with friends and family over nostalgic favourites.

That is why the Eat-All-You-Can Citarasa Kampung buffet of Spice Market Cafe in Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, Penang, is an enticing proposition.

Served every Monday to Thursday from April 4 to May 5, it is priced at RM168nett for adults and RM84nett for children, with different menus on rotation.

Besides the popular seafood on ice, chef de partie Aznan Din has also lined up favourites like ulam, lemang, pasembur, rojak, gado-gado and Sup Ekor Berempah for starters.

Salmon Head Curry and Roti Telur Bakar are possibilities at the live cooking station while the carvery section features Ayam Bakar Percik, Ikan Bakar Air Asam and Kambing Panggang Berempah.

Hot dish highlights include Aznan’s signature Rendang Tok, Sambal Udang Petai, Ayam Goreng Berempah, Sambal Ikan Berlada, Daging Kari Kentang, Kupang Tiga Rasa and Bubur Lambok.

On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the cafe serves the Eat-All-You-Can Seafood Live Cooking buffet instead, priced at RM196nett for adults and RM98nett for children.

A “Dine 4 Pay 3” promo applies for both buffets which are served from 6pm to 10pm and includes free flow of a selected beverage.

One can also spread blessings with Rasa Sayang’s exclusive Raya Gift Sets. The Cookie Trio with three bottles of different flavours is RM118 while the Cookie Box with four varieties is priced at RM128.

The unique Mystery Raya Dates box is tagged at RM168. Open a numbered box on each day of the fasting month to find an almond-stuffed date inside.
