Mikro MSC to acquire firm for RM30mil

PETALING JAYA: Mikro MSC Bhd is proposing to acquire cable and security system wholesale firm Broadguard Sdn Bhd from Sie Chee Din and Wong Meng Jie for RM30mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Mikro said it is principally involved in the electrical and electronics business, the biomass fuel business through its associated company, and the signage and interior fit-out businesses.

“The management of Mikro continues to explore suitable business opportunities which are expected to contribute positively to the group’s long-term growth and enhance shareholders’ value.

“In this regard, the proposed acquisition represents a strategic opportunity for the group to expand into the wholesale and distribution of cables and related products, which are primarily used in security and surveillance systems.”
