KUALA LUMPUR: Jati Tinggi Group Bhd
's net profit more than doubled to RM8.01mil in the third quarter ended Aug 31, 2026 (3Q26), from RM3.18mil a year earlier, driven by stronger execution of power infrastructure projects.
Revenue nearly tripled to RM156.05mil from RM52.96mil previously, supported by higher contributions from its substation engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) segment.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said its substation EPCC segment contributed RM83.2mil, or 53.3% of quarterly revenue, compared with RM12.6mil in the preceding quarter.
The increase was driven by higher contributions from substation-related infrastructure projects, including works supporting data centre power requirements.
Meanwhile, the underground utilities engineering segment contributed RM66.2mil, or 42.4% of revenue, while the manufacturing and trading of polyethylene pipes segment accounted for the remaining RM6.7mil.
For the nine months ended Aug 31, 2026, Jati Tinggi's net profit surged to RM18.96mil from RM5.86mil a year earlier, while revenue jumped to RM318.29mil from RM110.15mil.
Managing director Datuk Lim Yeong Seong said the stronger performance reflected the group's expanding project portfolio and growing capabilities in undertaking larger-scale power infrastructure projects.
“Our recent Paka 500kV substation contract awarded under a joint venture consortium with total contract value of RM568.2mil marks another significant milestone for the group.
“With a record order book of RM1.4bil, which provides earnings visibility over the next three years, we remain well-positioned to capitalise on Malaysia’s continued grid investments and growing electricity demand from data centres.”
