Ann Joo Resources secures RM61.89mil EPCC job

PETALING JAYA: Ann Joo Resources Bhd has secured a sub-contract from an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contractor worth RM61.89mil to undertake turnkey design and build, testing and commissioning interconnection facilities and transmission line works.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Ann Joo said the sub-contract is in relation to the development of an approximately 100 megawatt alternating current large scale solar photovoltaic plant in the northern region.

“The EPCC contractor’s identity is not disclosed in this announcement due to confidentiality obligations. The contractor is a private limited company incorporated in Malaysia and is principally engaged in the activity of electrical and mechanical supplies and services.”

Ann Joo said the electricity generated by the project is intended to be delivered to the national grid via Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s electricity transmission system.

“The project is aligned with Malaysia’s efforts to expand its renewable energy capacity through the development of large-scale solar photovoltaic facilities.”
