Pantech Group remains vigilant amid global uncertainties

PETALING JAYA: Pantech Group Holdings Bhd is remaining vigilant amid ongoing macroeconomic uncertainties, including evolving trade policies, geopolitical tensions, supply chain disruptions and cost pressures.

“In response, the group will maintain pricing discipline to manage changes in tariffs and raw material cost, prioritise proactive risk mitigation through disciplined cost management and improvements in operating efficiency to navigate these uncertainties effectively,” it said in a Bursa Malaysia filing.

For the second quarter ended Aug 31, 2026, Pantech’s net profit rose to RM19.39mil from RM14.57mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue grew to RM281.5mil from RM227.36mil a year earlier.

Pantech said the higher revenue and profit before tax were largely driven by the manufacturing division’s robust performance.

For the six-month period ended Aug 31, 2026, Pantech’s net profit improved to RM36.61mil from RM25.5mil year-on-year, while revenue rose to RM516.19mil from RM448.11mil previously.

The company declared a first interim single tier dividend of 3.00 sen per ordinary shares, to be paid on Dec 23.
