Mulpha invests RM28mil in SHK Latitude Alpha Fund

PETALING JAYA: Mulpha International Bhd (MIB), through its wholly-owned subsidiary Mulpha Strategic Ltd, has subscribed to US$7mil (RM28.28mil) in the SHK Latitude Alpha Fund on Sept 1, 2026.

Latitude is a diversified global fund of hedge funds that seeks to generate strong risk-adjusted returns across market cycles.

“It targets double-digit returns in normalised market conditions while seeking to preserve capital during prolonged periods of market stress. Latitude’s estimated year-to-date performance up to July 2026 is reported at 8.7%,” said MIB.

“The subscription forms part of the group’s broader investment portfolio and the deployment of a limited portion of surplus funds, with the objective of enhancing risk-adjusted investment returns.

“Management considers the quantum of this investment to be appropriate, having regard to the group’s current liquidity targets and the alternative investment opportunities available to the group.”

MIB acknowledged that investing in Latitude involves certain risks.

“These include market and investment performance risks arising from volatility in global financial markets, changes in interest rates, credit conditions and macroeconomic developments, which may affect the value and returns of Latitude’s underlying investments.”
