PETALING JAYA: Foodie Media Bhd
is expanding into the e-sports and gaming content business via the acquisition of an 80% stake in WTM Media Sdn Bhd for RM250,000 cash.
WTM Media is involved in the marketing of products, brands and services mainly on the Internet and social media, with a focus on e-sports and gaming related content across digital platforms.
On Feb 9, Good Foodie Media Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Foodie Media, had entered into a business collaboration agreement with WTM Media to collaborate in the development and commercialisation of digital media content within the e-sports and gaming market.
Through the acquisition, Foodie Media will gain access to WTM Media’s content production capabilities, use of What’s The Meta” across various social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, and WTM Media’s brand recognition within the e-sports and gaming community.
