SD Guthrie appoints Shahrizal as CFO, Renaka moves to new CEO role


KUALA LUMPUR: SD Guthrie Bhd has appointed Shahrizal Suhainy as its new chief financial officer (CFO), effective May 1, 2026, following the relinquishment of Renaka Ramachandran.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, SD Guthrue said Shahrizal, 41, currently serves as head of special projects, group finance, where he leads procurement operating model transformation and other strategic initiatives.

He previously held CFO and regional CEO roles within Guthrie’s upstream Indonesia operations and was formerly CFO of TH Plantations Bhd. He also spent 14 years with KPMG Malaysia, where he was an audit partner.

Shahrizal holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Chartered Accountant as well as a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

Renaka, 58, will relinquish her position as CFO on April 30, 2026, following her appointment as chief executive officer, land and renewable energy, effective Jan 1, 2026.
