Kossan to acquire S'pore-based company for RM48mil

PETALING JAYA: Kossan Rubber Industries Bhd has entered into conditional agreements to acquire the entire equity interest in Inout Enterprise Pte Ltd (IOS) and a 51% stake in Inout Enterprise (Thailand) Ltd (IOT) for a combined cash consideration of about RM48.4mil.

The proposed acquisition of IOS, which is principally involved in the wholesale trade of cleanroom products, is valued at S$15.15mil, or RM48.39mil, while the 51% stake in IOT will cost 130,000 baht, or about RM16,037.

The acquisitions are part of Kossan’s strategy to expand its Cleanroom Division and are expected to contribute positively to the group’s revenue and earnings. IOS has more than 30 years of experience in trading and distributing cleanroom products.

The transactions will be funded entirely through internally generated funds and are not expected to have a material impact on Kossan’s earnings, earnings per share, net assets or gearing for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026.

Completion is expected by the end of the first quarter of 2027, subject to conditions precedent.
