KUALA LUMPUR: Golden Destinations Group Bhd is pushing ahead with its post-listing expansion plans as travel demand shifts towards Asia-centric destinations.

The outbound travel experience curator plans to expand into East Malaysia and Singapore, establish a new centralised headquarters and strengthen its brand, IT infrastructure and workforce capabilities.

“We continue to see travel demand shifting towards Asia-centric destinations, which is aligned with our core market focus,” managing director Mita Lim said in a statement.

For the second quarter ended June 30, 2026 (2Q26), Golden Destinations posted a net profit of RM294,000 on revenue of RM113.17mil after incurring RM4.55mil in one-off IPO listing expenses.

Excluding the listing expenses, adjusted net profit stood at RM4.83mil.

Revenue fell 11.1% from RM127.24mil in the preceding quarter, mainly due to lower sales of travel packages amid geopolitical disruptions and the seasonally softer second quarter.

For the first six months of 2026, net profit stood at RM8.36mil on revenue of RM240.4mil. Excluding listing expenses, adjusted net profit was RM12.89mil.

The travel experience segment remained the group’s largest revenue contributor, generating RM165.47mil, or 68.83% of first-half revenue, while ticketing and other services contributed RM74.93mil.

Looking ahead, Golden Destinations said it would continue executing its post-listing growth plans to strengthen its operational efficiency and market position.
