Saliran redesignates MD, chairperson


PETALING JAYA: Saliran Group Bhd’s managing director, Liaw Choon Wei, has been redesignated as the company’s executive chairman.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the steel pipes supplier said its chairperson, Datuk Low Suet Moi, has been redesignated as the company’s independent and non-executive director.

According to the company’s annual report, Liaw (41) was appointed to the board on Aug 7, 2020. He was subsequently redesignated as the company’s managing director on June 6, 2024.

Meanwhile, Low, 58, was appointed to the board on June 6, 2024.

“In July 2014, she was admitted as a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association as a certified information systems auditor.

She was certified as a Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) certified trainer in July 2020 and HRDF accredited trainer in September 2024.
