PETALING JAYA: Revenue IF Bhd has signed a framework agreement with Beijing and Hong Kong-based Assets Singularity Technology Holding Ltd (ATT) to explore opportunities in payment services and overseas renminbi (RMB) bond issuance projects.
In a statement, the payment technology group said the collaboration would allow it to tap ATT's network of public sector institutions, financial institutions and enterprises in international markets.
Under the agreement, Revenue plans to provide payment solutions covering digital identity, payment security, merchant acquiring, transaction processing, clearing and settlement, and cross-border payments.
In addition, Revenue and ATT will also explore partnerships on overseas RMB bond issuance projects, leveraging Revenue's Malaysian payment licence and payment infrastructure.
Revenue will provide local collection, payment processing, fund allocation and cross-border settlement services for bond subscriptions, coupon payments and redemptions.
ATT, meanwhile, will provide digital asset infrastructure for asset onboarding, issuance and trading.
Revenue executive director Teh Chee Hoe said the agreement would support the group's expansion into international markets, particularly East Asia and Africa.
He said Revenue was expanding beyond its traditional merchant acquiring and payment processing businesses into card issuing, issuer processing, payment security and digital identity services.
The group also aims to tap opportunities arising from growing cross-border payment flows and overseas RMB bond issuances.
