PETALING JAYA: KTI Landmark Bhd has announced a strategic collaboration with Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) to provide tailored student accommodation for its Sabah branch campus.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the property developer noted the initiative was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between KTI’s wholly-owned subsidiary, K.T.I Development Sdn Bhd (KTIDSB) and TAR UMT.
Under the three-year agreement, both entities will explore establishing dedicated student housing under the "Belive Co-Living" concept — operated by Belive Ventures Sdn Bhd — at KTIDSB’s multi-block "Kayana Heights" mixed residential development in Alamesra, Kota Kinabalu.
Situated near the university's Sabah campus, the housing arrangement is positioned as a safe, convenient, and professionally managed solution for students.
The proximity is expected to drive strong demand and high occupancy rates for the newly developed residential units.
Under the framework, KTIDSB and its appointed operator will handle the housing operations, facility setup, maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations.
TAR UMT will promote the co-living arrangement across its official channels, student portals and advisory services to drive awareness.
The university however will not be a party to or liable for individual tenancy agreements signed between students and the housing operator.
