Samaiden to develop 99.99MWac solar PV facility in Segamat


KUALA LUMPUR: Samaiden Group Bhd said its sub-subsidiary Legasi Suria Selatan Sdn Bhd (LSSSB) has executed a solar power purchase agreement (SPPA) with Tenaga Nasional Bhd for the development and operation of a solar photovoltaic energy generating facility under the large-scale solar Petra 5+ programme.

LSSSB, a special purpose veihcle set up to undertake the project, is a 70%-owned subsidiary of Samaiden Sdn Bhd, which is in turn a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samaiden.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said LSSSB will design, construct, own, operate and maintain a 99.99MWac solar photovoltaic energy generating facility in Segamat, Johor.

The scheduled commercial operation date is Feb 29, 2028.
