Malaysian companies expand global reach through Foodex Japan 2025

Founded in 1948, Koon Brother Sdn Bhd has over 75 years of expertise in biscuits and confectionery. Its brands include MyBizcuit, Mas Cookies, MySpred and Snazk Bites, which are distributed in more than 50 countries. With HACCP, ISO 22000, MUI Halal and MeSTI certifications, the company maintains the highest standards of quality and food safety.

MALAYSIA’S strong presence at the 50th Foodex Japan 2025, held from March 11 to 14, showcased its growing influence in the global halal food market.

Led by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade), the delegation—comprising 11 companies and the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama)—generated over RM264mil in potential sales.

The Malaysia Pavilion featured a diverse array of halal-certified products, including confectionery, snacks, seafood and beverages, attracting strong interest from international buyers.

This enthusiastic response reinforced Malaysia’s commitment to promoting premium halal offerings worldwide.

Beyond celebrating the nation’s culinary excellence, the event created new trade opportunities, further strengthening Malaysia’s position as a key player in the halal industry.
