Salcon wins RM100mil construction jobs

PETALING JAYA: Salcon Bhd has secured two construction jobs from Binastra Builders Sdn Bhd and Perbadanan Pembangunan Pulau Pinang totaling RM99.8mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Salcon said the contract from Binastra Builders is a sewage treatment plant site redevelopment project in Taman Bukit Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, worth RM11mil, with a duration of 36 months.

Meanwhile, the contract from Perbadanan Pembangunan Pulau Pinang will involve sewerage upgrade works and other works at Seberang Perai Selatan, Pulau Pinang, worth RM88.8mil and will take 18 months to complete.

“The projects are expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets of Salcon Group for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2025 to Dec 31, 2026.

“The projects will not have any effect on the share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholding of the company,” said Salcon.

The company added that the projects have no option for renewal.
