Binastra bags RM155mil sewage plant contract


KUALA LUMPUR: Binastra Corp Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Binastra Builders Sdn Bhd has secured a contract from Greenearth Landmark Sdn Bhd (GLSB) worth RM155mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Binastra said the contract is for the design and build of a membrane biological reactor-type sewage treatment plant in Sri Hartamas, which will have a capacity of 160,000 population equivalent capacity.

The project is expected to be completed within 36 months from the commencement date, which will be announced by GLSB in due course.

“This project not only strengthens Binastra’s position in the construction and engineering industry, but also reflects our commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles,” managing director Datuk Jackson Tan Kak Seng said in a statement.

As of Aug 29, Binastra’s outstanding order book stands at approximately RM2.3bil. This latest contract has boosted Binastra’s year-to-date contract wins for the financial year ending Jan 31, 2025 to RM1.4bil.
