2 killed, 10 missing in landslide in West Nepal


KATHMANDU: Two people were killed while 10 others went missing after a landslide swept houses, cow sheds and a shop in Nepal's western Rolpa district on Wednesday night, the police said.

Two people got seriously injured in the incident.

"We are yet to ascertain the exact loss," Krishna Shrestha, spokesperson at the district police, told Xinhua, adding that search and rescue efforts are ongoing.

The incessant rainfall from Wednesday afternoon triggered the landslide, Shrestha said. - Xinhua
