TOKYO: Typhoon Nangka — also known as Typhoon No. 17 — moved east of Japan’s Ogasawara Islands in the Pacific Ocean on Thursday morning, and was slowly approaching Japan, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
The typhoon’s central atmospheric pressure was 994 hectopascals, with a maximum instantaneous wind speed of 90 kph, as of 9 a.m. on Thursday. - Japan Now/ANN
