Nine people dead and 10 people killed in horror crash between passenger bus and truck in southern Myanmar


YANGON (Xinhua): Nine people were killed and 10 others injured in a road accident in southern Myanmar's Mon state on Saturday, an official from the Thaton Township Fire Services Department told Xinhua.

The accident, which involved a passenger bus and a light truck, occurred at around 4:30 p.m. local time on the Yangon-Mawlamyine road in Thaton township, Mon state, the official said.

Local fire service personnel and rescue organizations transported the deceased and injured to nearby hospitals, he added. -- Xinhua
