Indonesia: Green investment hoped to create 4.4 million new jobs


JAKARTA, Jan 7 (Bernama): Green investment in the circular economic system will create 4.4 million new job opportunities in Indonesia by 2030, according to an official from the Indonesian National Development Planning Ministry.

Speaking at a webinar on the transition to a green economy, Medrilzam, Director for Environmental Affairs at the National Development Planning Agency under the ministry said if the South-East Asian nation implements the circular economy properly, up to 4.4 million new job opportunities will be created, with around 75 per cent available for women, Vietnam news agency reported.
