PETALING JAYA: Navigation app TuJu now redirects users to Google Maps for directions.
From StarLifestyle testing, TuJu will launch normally, but when users tap the navigation option, a pop-up will appear informing them that the app will open Google Maps to get them to their destination.
Users can then either cancel navigation or tap "Go" to launch Google Maps.
Notably, this is not the case for the iOS version of the app, which launches normally but does not appear to provide navigation at this time.

For context, the TuJu app was updated with "bug fixes" on Oct 30 on the Google Play Store, while the Apple App Store version was last updated 11 months ago.
Other features, including traffic information, locations for rest and relaxation (R&R) facilities on highways, and highway camera feeds, are still being offered within the TuJu app.
StarLifestyle has reached out to TuJu and The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) for statements.
